In any event, I entered by kindle serial # by going to the DeDRM plugin (go to preferences, plugins, and check user installed plugins).ĭouble click the plugin and it will open a popup. I don't recall ever seeing this in any steps described somewhere so it's possible something just went a little haywire on that first attempt on the new machine. I *think* it didn't work until I added my kindle serial number.

I believe the last time I installed this software after building a new machine it didn't work for me initially either. I do also have DeDRM plugin installed in Kindle. I usually do the "download to USB" as I have an old kindle as well.
